The Sindh government has announced a stipend scheme for schoolgirls across the province, aiming to boost girls’ education and ensure regular attendance.

According to the Education Department, only girls enrolled in schools with a valid SEMIS code will be eligible. The program targets Class 6, 9, and 10 students for the 2024–25 academic year.

As per the official notification, students must maintain at least 60% attendance during August, September, October, November, and December to qualify for the stipend.

Parents and students have welcomed the initiative, praising it as a positive step to enhance access to education for girls in Sindh. The government hopes this program will reduce dropout rates and encourage more consistent school attendance among girls.
