Indianapolis, October 26, 2026 — Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham has spoken publicly about the major changes in the team’s management, admitting that the departures of key executives came with little warning while expressing uncertainty about her own future with the franchise.
The Fever recently underwent a major front-office shake-up, with team president Kelly Krauskopf stepping down and general manager Amber Cox leaving her position. The changes came after Indiana’s season ended with a first-round playoff defeat to the Las Vegas Aces.
Speaking to reporters at the United States Grand Prix in Austin, Texas, Cunningham said the players had received little advance notice of the management changes. However, she suggested that keeping such decisions confidential was understandable.
“There was not a lot of warning, and that’s OK,” Cunningham said, adding that both Krauskopf and Cox were exceptional people who genuinely cared about the players, both on and off the court.
