SSUET Draws Two Winners in the 24th Annual Hajj Draw among Its Employees

July 7, 2025, KARACHI:
The 24th Hajj draw organized by Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) was held recently and two of the lucky employees Nadia Qamar (Assistant Professor) and Abdul Hameed (Senior Security Guard) have been chosen to travel to perform the hajj pilgrimage this year.

The ceremony was organized with utmost reverence and it also included naming of Engr. Madiha Abbasi and Prof. Dr. Abdul Sami Qureshi as back-up persons. The university administration organizes the event that testifies to the importance the university puts on staff welfare and spiritual enrichment.

Chancellor Akbar Ali Khan wished the winners good luck and asked them to pray in Hajj to God to bless Pakistan, the unity of Muslim Ummah and the success of SSUET. He asserted: It is a special gift and an unusual possibility to go to the will of Allah.

Registrar Syed Sarfraz Ali emphasized the commitment of the university to the well-being of the employees and love of its community as he said that, the Hajj draw is the testimony of the respect and inclusion that SSUET has put on its values.

The programme was concluded with prayers and warm wishes to continue with this valued tradition in the university.
