Thousands of people gathered outside the Israeli military headquarters in Tel Aviv on Saturday, urging an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the release of Israeli hostages.
As reported by international media, the protest marks a significant rise in public anger against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s approach to the ongoing war, which has claimed thousands of civilian lives and created an overwhelming humanitarian crisis.
Protesters chanted slogans like “End the war!” and “Bring them home!”, calling on the government to prioritize human lives over political agendas. “Continuing this war serves no one—it’s destroying lives on both sides,” said one demonstrator, quoted by international broadcasters.
Amid mounting domestic unrest and growing global pressure, Netanyahu has reportedly met with far-right coalition leaders Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich to discuss possible ceasefire terms, according to international media outlets.
The protests have intensified in recent weeks, particularly from families of hostages who demand urgent action and a return to peace talks.
