The warrants pertain to a protest held on November 26 near Faizabad, Islamabad.
The case hearing was presided over by Judge Abul Hassanat Zulqarnain. The FIR No. 1193 was registered at the Karachi Company Police Station, naming key PTI leaders. The court issued fresh arrest warrants for several top PTI figures, including Asad Qaiser, Faisal Javed, Salman Akram Raja, Rauf Hassan, Murad Saeed, Ahmad Niazi, Hammad Azhar, Atif Khan, Shoaib Shaheen, Azam Swati, Sahibzada Hamid Raza, Aleema Khanum, Sheikh Waqas Akram, Kanwal Shauzab, Shandana Gulzar, and Sher Afzal Marwat.
Judge Tahir Abbas Supra, presiding over a related case regarding the Faizabad protest, refused to cancel the absconder status of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and ordered Islamabad Police to ensure his arrest. The court also directed that if any order exists from the Peshawar High Court concerning Gandapur, it must be respected and followed accordingly.
During the proceedings, PTI leader Faisal Javed and others appeared in court, while the hearing was adjourned until August 6 on the request of defense lawyers.
Ali Amin Gandapur and other accused are also booked in a separate FIR registered at the Industrial Area Police Station.
