The standardized IME was India Standardized IME (ISIME).
On Saturday, the University of Karachi conducted its 33 rd Convocation at the Expo Center that awarded 7,248 degrees to students of the 2023 morning and evening programs of various departments including education, science, accounting, etc. The gold medals, a total of 244, were given to the highest achievers and Hafiza Aqsa Anwar (MSc, Space Science and Technology) and won the overall first position as well as the award, Martyrs of APS Peshawar gold medal.
Governor of Sindh and KU Chancellor Muhammad Kamran Khan Tessori the chief guest praised the performance of the students and also expressed the importance of parents in the success of the students. He stressed that there must be a way to empower gifted girls who have completed their studies and encouraged the students to be positive and serve society and build the nation.
Dr. S. M. Tariq Rafi the chairman of Sindh HEC as the guest of honor emphasized the need to also build characters in addition to developing academic skills as the government has invested Rs50 billion in 30 government universities. His speech was all about the appreciation of the research culture of KU and its position on the QS Ranking under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Khalid Mahmood Iraqi as the Vice Chancellor.
In his speech, Dr. Iraqi urged graduates to remember that degrees are the symbols of perseverance and the start of having more responsibilities to the society. He informed of the latest developments in KU such as online evening courses, the increase in the number of girls hostels, the recent physical therapy center, and the foreign football academy that KU seeks to establish with the Ulm University of Germany.
Several PhDs, MPhils and MS degrees were also presented showing that KU is a research driven and academic institution.
