SADIQABAD : Two suspected criminals were arrested following separate armed encounters with police in Sadiqabad and Rahim Yar Khan on Wednesday, police officials confirmed.
In the outskirts of Sadiqabad, law enforcement agencies engaged in a shootout with an alleged robber, identified as Shahban. According to police sources, Shahban was involved in multiple cases of serious and violent crimes. During the operation, police recovered looted valuables, firearms, and cash from the suspect. He was taken into custody and transferred for further interrogation.
In a separate incident in Rahim Yar Khan, police launched an operation after receiving intelligence regarding the presence of an armed suspect in the area. As officers approached, the robber opened fire, prompting police to return fire. The exchange of gunfire resulted in the suspect eventually surrendering to the police.
Weapons and stolen items were recovered from his possession. The arrested individual is being questioned, and investigations are ongoing to uncover any links to larger criminal networks.
Authorities stated that both operations were part of an intensified crackdown against street crime and robbery in the region.
