The arbitrary monthly increase in medicine prices has caused new distress for patients and their families.
According to the report, various pharmaceutical companies have significantly increased the prices of medicines, most of which are used for the treatment of common diseases.
The report states that the price of a multivitamin injection has risen from Rs. 1,100 to Rs. 1,400, while the price of tablets used for stomach disorders has also been increased by Rs. 100.
Additionally, the prices of medicines for blood disorders have been increased by Rs. 100 to Rs. 200, and pain relief medicines have also seen a hike of Rs. 100 to Rs. 200.
The report further reveals that the price of medicine for diabetes has increased from Rs. 470 to Rs. 650, while medicine for blood cancer has gone up from Rs. 62,500 to Rs. 69,999.
According to details of the price hikes by pharmaceutical companies, the injection administered to patients not undergoing bone marrow procedures has become Rs. 3,000 more expensive.
