A video allegedly showing misconduct by staff at the Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology (RIC) has gone viral, prompting authorities to take notice and initiate an inquiry.

‎According to sources, the individual who refused to perform an ECG was not a certified technician but a helper. RIC officials stated that due to workload in the ECG department, helpers are sometimes temporarily assigned to assist technicians.

‎The hospital administration clarified that an inquiry committee has been formed to investigate the matter. The person involved, identified as Shoaib, reportedly belongs to the janitorial staff of a private company and had previously been dismissed from the hospital.

‎Authorities have assured that appropriate action will be taken following the committee’s findings.
