MIRPURKHAS – A shocking incident has surfaced where a woman was allegedly subjected to sexual assault inside a police station in Mirpurkhas.
According to reports, the district police spokesperson said that the victim had submitted a complaint to the Deputy Inspector General (DIG), stating that she went to the Mehran Police Station to seek help for the recovery of her missing daughter but was instead allegedly raped.
Police confirmed that a case has been registered on the woman’s complaint. Following the allegations, SSP Dr. Sameer Noor Channa immediately suspended the Station House Officer (SHO) Mir Khadim Talpur and ordered an inquiry into the incident.
Authorities further stated that medical samples from both the SHO and the complainant have been collected for forensic testing, and further action will be taken after the detailed medical report is received.
