World Diabetes Day is being observed today in Pakistan and across the globe.
The purpose of this day is to raise global awareness about diabetes. November 14 is also the birthday of Frederick Banting, the inventor of insulin. According to medical experts, diabetes can be managed through strict dietary control, walking, and regular exercise.
Exercise is beneficial for everyone’s health and also provides protection against diseases like Type 2 diabetes. This was revealed in a recent medical study conducted in Italy.
The study included 32 individuals aged between 20 and 35. All participants underwent glucose tests and were then instructed to perform light jogging.
Results showed that 30 minutes of aerobic exercise immediately improves blood glucose levels and increases insulin sensitivity, which helps reduce the long-term risk of developing Type 2 diabetes.
