RAWALPINDI: President Asif Ali Zardari has urged the nation’s leadership to adopt unified, well-informed, and integrated policies to effectively address Pakistan’s growing security challenges. He delivered these remarks while speaking at the 27th National Security Workshop (NSW-27) during his visit to the National Defence University (NDU), Islamabad, according to ISPR.
President Zardari emphasized that national cohesion and collaborative decision-making are vital for safeguarding the country’s interests in an increasingly complex security environment. He said Pakistan must strengthen internal unity and rely on informed leadership to navigate present and future threats.
The workshop, NSW-27, gathered parliamentarians, senior civil and military officials, scholars, and civil society members. Its main focus was to deepen participants’ understanding of how different pillars of national power work together under the concept of Comprehensive National Security.
Congratulating the participants on completing the program, the President praised their commitment to enhancing national security awareness and contributing to a stronger, more resilient Pakistan.
NDU’s National Security Workshop is regarded as a premier national forum that builds institutional capacity, encourages strategic debate, and promotes a whole-of-nation approach toward national security.
During the ceremony, President Zardari also distributed certificates among the graduating participants.
