FAISALABAD – A shocking case of child abuse surfaced in Faisalabad’s Civil Lines area, where a 13-year-old domestic worker was brutally tortured by her employers. The accused, identified as Habib Saleem and his wife Sadaf, allegedly subjected the young girl to severe physical violence.
According to police sources, the suspects cut the victim’s hair and burned parts of her body with heated tongs. Following the incident, Civil Lines Police registered a case and arrested both suspects.
Chairperson of the Punjab Child Protection Bureau, Sarah Ahmed, took immediate notice of the incident and directed the Faisalabad team to reach out to the victim and her family.
In her statement, Sarah Ahmed condemned the act, terming it “deeply distressing and inhumane.” She assured that the child would receive full protection and assistance, adding that strict legal action would be taken against those involved in the abuse.
