HYDERABAD: Jewellery and cash worth around Rs15 million were looted from a house in Bhatti Nagar after four armed men held the family hostage at gunpoint on Monday.

According to police, the robbers broke into the house of Farhan Sheikh, a resident of Citizens Colony, and made away with 35 tolas of gold jewellery and cash. The suspects reportedly confined the family members to a room during the robbery before fleeing the scene.

On Sheikh’s complaint, the Bhatti Nagar police registered a case and launched an investigation. Law enforcement officials said efforts are underway to identify and arrest the culprits.
