65 Ambulances to Provide On Door Treatment for Sick Animals of Poor Farmers in Sindh

The Government of Sindh is purchasing ambulances under a project aimed at providing medical treatment for the sick animals of poor farmers at their doorstep.

‎Under the Sindh Livestock and Aquaculture Development Project, the provincial government has decided to purchase 65 mobile ambulances. Provincial Minister for Livestock and Fisheries, Muhammad Ali Malkani, inspected a locally manufactured mobile ambulance.

‎Through the Sindh Livestock and Aquaculture Development Project, launched with the cooperation of the World Bank, 65 mobile ambulances are being procured to protect the livestock of poor farmers in Sindh from various diseases right at their homes.

‎This was stated by Provincial Minister Muhammad Ali Malkani while inspecting the sample of a locally manufactured mobile ambulance outside his office today. Secretary Livestock Dr. Kazim Jatoi was also present on the occasion. They reviewed the equipment installed in the ambulance for animal health.

‎Provincial Minister Muhammad Ali Malkani said that under the Sindh Livestock and Aquaculture Development Project, these 65 mobile ambulances are planned to be purchased for three wings of the Livestock Department Livestock Animal Husbandry, Livestock Animal Breeding, and Central Veterinary and Diagnostic Laboratory Tando Jam as well as the fourth Fisheries Wing, through an open tender system.

‎Muhammad Ali Malkani said, “We aim to provide treatment facilities for the animals of poor livestock owners in Sindh at their doorstep, enabling diagnosis and treatment at the same time.”

‎He added that this project is a very important step to support farmers in Sindh, and efforts are being made day and night to make it successful.
