Punjab Police have arrested 9,688 criminals from 3,878 gangs and recovered stolen property worth more than Rs2.35 billion during province-wide crackdowns in 2025.
A police spokesperson said on Thursday that the recovered property included vehicles, motorcycles, mobile phones, gold, livestock and cash, along with a large quantity of illegal arms and ammunition.
The seized weapons included 1,261 Kalashnikovs, 2,191 rifles, 26,338 pistols, 2,331 guns, 353 revolvers and over 192,000 bullets.
In Lahore alone, police arrested 4,353 criminals linked with 1,911 gangs.
Inspector General Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar directed officers to continue the operations with full force, stressing decisive action to achieve a crime-free Punjab as per the Chief Minister’s vision.
