ISLAMABAD: The government has increased petrol and high-speed diesel prices, reversing part of the previous reduction, according to details provided in a Petroleum Division notification.
Petrol has become more expensive by 88 paisa per litre, taking its new price to Rs382.02 per litre.
The price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has also increased by 53 paisa per litre to Rs389.80.
The revised rates are scheduled to take effect on Wednesday, October 21.
The increases follow the previous day’s reduction, when petrol was cut by Rs5.16 per litre to Rs381.14, while diesel was reduced by Rs7.69 to Rs389.27.
Under Pakistan’s daily fuel-pricing mechanism, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) determines petroleum prices using international market rates and the applicable pricing components.
