Karachi: In two separate police encounters late Thursday night, law enforcement officials arrested five suspected robbers, including three in injured condition, from the Azizabad and Pak Colony areas of Karachi. Police also recovered weapons, ammunition, mobile phones, cash, drugs, and motorcycles from the suspects.
According to details, the first encounter occurred near the Kareemabad Furniture Market in the Azizabad area. During a brief exchange of fire, police managed to apprehend two suspects, one of whom sustained gunshot wounds and was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medical treatment.
The injured suspect was identified as 30-year-old Shahroz, son of Mujahid, while the second suspect gave his name as Shariq, son of Raju. From the two, police recovered a pistol with live rounds, mobile phones, cash, and a motorcycle.
In a second encounter in the Pak Colony area, police arrested three suspects, including two who were injured, during an operation near Jehanabad Sher Shah Bridge. The injured were shifted to Civil Hospital for treatment.
According to the Karachi Police spokesperson, the injured suspects were identified as 18-year-old Saqlain, son of Qasim, and 19-year-old Jabbar, son of Javed. The third suspect identified himself as Kashif, son of Sher Dal Khan.
From the scene, authorities recovered two pistols with ammunition, mobile phones, cash, narcotics, and a motorcycle.
