The federal government has announced a decision to fix the dengue test fee.

‎According to details, the federal government took notice of arbitrary fee collection for tests in Islamabad and announced that the dengue test fee has been fixed at Rs 1,500 within the limits of Islamabad.

‎The Islamabad Healthcare Regulatory Authority has set the test fee, which will be applicable to private and government hospitals and laboratories located in Islamabad. The Islamabad Health Regulatory Authority has also sent a letter to the Secretary of Health and DHO.

‎Sources said that the Islamabad Healthcare Regulatory Authority stated in the letter to hospitals and laboratories that the dengue test fee has been set under Islamabad Health Regulation 2018.

‎According to the Islamabad Health Authority, the dengue test fee will remain applicable until December 31, 2025. Hospitals and laboratories were also consulted before finalizing the fee.

‎Hospitals and laboratories will be required to display the dengue test fee list, and the test report must include the machine name, kit, and batch number. Action will be taken against charging more than the fixed dengue test fee.
