Charlie Kirk, the 31-year-old CEO and co-founder of Turning Point USA, a leading conservative youth organization, was killed during a shooting at Utah Valley University, according to international media reports.

Kirk was addressing students as part of his “American Comeback Tour” when gunfire erupted. Videos circulating online show Kirk clutching his neck and collapsing from his chair as panicked attendees fled the scene. Emergency responders rushed in immediately, but his injuries proved fatal.

President Donald Trump confirmed the death in a post on Truth Social, calling Kirk “not just great, but truly legendary.” The White House later echoed the announcement and confirmed Trump’s directive to lower American flags nationwide in his honor.

Police officials stated that no suspect is currently in custody, despite earlier reports from the university suggesting otherwise. Investigations are ongoing.

Kirk had been scheduled to appear at 15 events across U.S. universities as part of the tour, which aimed to mobilize young conservative voices. His appearances often drew both large support and controversy, with online petitions in some universities seeking to bar his speeches.

Kirk and his organization played a pivotal role in rallying youth support for Donald Trump in the past elections. His sudden death has sent shockwaves through conservative circles and reignited debates about political discourse and violence on American campuses.
