Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been included in the MBBS and nursing curricula at medical universities in Pakistan.

‎A five year AI course has been developed for MBBS and nursing programs, through which students will be introduced to the ethical and practical applications of AI in medical education and practice. This curriculum is equipped with artificial intelligence.

‎With the help of AI, doctors and paramedical staff will be able to treat patients in the future, while AI based tools are already being used in diagnosis, surgery, and patient care.

‎In addition, pilot projects such as the HAMI program in the Family Medicine Department and the interpretation of retina images are also underway.

‎Furthermore, students are being provided with opportunities to participate in data analytics workshops and tele-consultations, enabling them to stay aligned with digital health.
