High-Level Saudi Business Delegation Arrives in Pakistan to Boost Trade, Investment Ties
Discussions to focus on trade facilitation and investment collaboration, says FO

ISLAMABAD: A high-level Saudi business delegation, led by Prince Mansour bin Mohammad Al Saud, Chairman of the Saudi-Pakistan Joint Business Council, arrived in Islamabad to explore avenues for expanding trade and investment cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

According to the Foreign Office, the delegation will hold meetings with Pakistan’s leadership, senior government officials, chambers of commerce, and leading business groups to discuss enhanced economic collaboration under the framework of the Saudi-Pakistan Joint Business Council.

The visit underscores the deep-rooted and brotherly relations between the two nations and reflects their shared resolve to strengthen economic and investment partnerships. Discussions are expected to focus on trade facilitation and cooperation in priority sectors aligned with Saudi Vision 2030 and Pakistan’s economic growth agenda, the statement added.

The delegation’s arrival follows the signing of a landmark Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement between Islamabad and Riyadh on September 17, during Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to Saudi Arabia. The pact signed at Al Yamamah Palace in Riyadh in the presence of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman pledges that any attack on either nation would be considered an act of aggression against both.

The Prime Minister’s Office described the agreement as a step toward strengthening joint deterrence and enhancing defence cooperation to promote peace and security in the region.

Experts have hailed the accord as a historic milestone, marking the first formal security commitment of its kind between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. They noted that while both countries have long-standing defence and strategic ties, this pact elevates the relationship to a new level of mutual assurance and strategic partnership.
