Commissioner Karachi, Syed Hasan Naqvi, has stated that the number of people refusing polio vaccination is the highest in Karachi.
He made this statement during a community outreach campaign aimed at convincing parents to administer polio drops to their children.
On this occasion, Commissioner Karachi Syed Hasan Naqvi met with residents at the Clifton Cantonment Office.
Speaking to the media, the commissioner said that some residents do not cooperate with the teams and refuse to open their doors.
It is worth mentioning that Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah has announced strict measures against parents who refuse to vaccinate their children against polio.
Providing details, he said that these measures include blocking mobile SIM cards, suspending national identity cards, and passport restrictions for such parents so that they are deprived of communication and travel facilities.
