The Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) has released images of counterfeit medicines being sold for fever, body pain, inflammation, stomach, chest, throat, and fungal infections.
According to details, the sale of counterfeit medicines has been uncovered in Punjab and Gilgit-Baltistan, after which DRAP has issued images of fake versions of several well known brands.
DRAP stated that counterfeit tablets and capsules for various conditions, including fever, body pain, inflammation, stomach issues, chest infections, throat infections, and fungal infections, are being sold in the market. Similarly, counterfeit medicines for gynecological diseases and neuropathy are also available, manufactured under the names of international and local pharmaceutical companies.
DRAP mentioned that the drug testing laboratories of Punjab and Gilgit Baltistan have declared samples of these medicines as counterfeit, prompting a rapid alert at the request of the respective governments.

DRAP has warned citizens to immediately report suspicious medicines available in the market to the concerned authorities to protect the public from harm.
