Day 3 of the first Test at Gaddafi Stadium saw Pakistan’s second innings come to an end at 167 all out, leaving South Africa a target of 277 runs to win.
Spinner Simon Harmer once again dominated with the ball, taking 4 wickets for 51 runs in 14.1 overs, including the final wicket of Sajid Khan, who was caught by Dewald Brevis for just 1 run.
Pakistan’s batting lineup failed to find stability, losing wickets at regular intervals. Hasan Ali remained not out on 0 as the innings concluded. Despite the modest total, Pakistan still hold a strong 276-run lead, thanks to their first-innings advantage.
With the pitch continuing to favor spin, Noman Ali and Sajid Khan will once again be key as Pakistan aim to seal the win and go 1–0 up in the series.
