The anti polio campaign in Chaman has been postponed due to security concerns.

‎According to sources, the district administration and the health department decided to delay the campaign in view of potential security threats.

‎The Health Department stated that a new date for the polio drive in Chaman will be announced later.

‎It is worth mentioning that a day earlier, a Levies officer deployed on duty was martyred after an attack on a polio team in Swat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed deep sorrow over the incident and paid tribute to the martyred officer.
