The anti polio campaign in Chaman has been postponed due to security concerns.
According to sources, the district administration and the health department decided to delay the campaign in view of potential security threats.
The Health Department stated that a new date for the polio drive in Chaman will be announced later.
It is worth mentioning that a day earlier, a Levies officer deployed on duty was martyred after an attack on a polio team in Swat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed deep sorrow over the incident and paid tribute to the martyred officer.
