Emergency Anti Dengue and Anti Malaria Campaign Launched in Sindh

On the directives of Sindh Health Minister Dr. Azra Pechuho, an emergency campaign has been launched across the province to prevent dengue and malaria. Dr. Pechuho has ordered all districts to accelerate fogging, spraying, awareness sessions, and public campaigns.

‎According to a post on the Sindh Information Department’s X account, the emergency campaign to prevent dengue and malaria has officially begun. The Health Minister, Dr. Azra Pechuho, has directed all District Health Officers and relevant departments to take effective measures on an urgent basis.

‎Dr. Pechuho instructed all districts to intensify fogging, spraying, awareness sessions, and public campaigns, stating that the Sindh government’s machinery has been fully mobilized to prevent dengue and malaria.

‎The Health Minister said that spraying, fogging, and awareness programs will be ensured on a daily basis in every district. “With public cooperation, this epidemic can soon be controlled. People must play their role,” she emphasized.

‎The Health Minister stated that this year, 819 cases of dengue and more than 200,000 cases of malaria have been reported.

‎She further said that banners, pamphlets, and awareness materials are being displayed in schools, hospitals, markets, and bus stops, while Lady Health Workers have been tasked with conducting door to door awareness visits.

‎Dr. Azra Pechuho added that by maintaining cleanliness and following precautionary measures, the epidemic can be eliminated quickly.

‎She stated that health department teams are actively working day and night for public safety, and the situation regarding dengue and malaria is being monitored on a daily basis.
