The Sindh Population Welfare Department organized a free medical camp in the coastal area of Chashma Goth, Ibrahim Hyderi.

‎According to details, men, women, and children were examined free of cost at the camp. Among women, most complaints were related to fever, anemia, chest infections, and skin diseases, while among children, stomach pain and skin infections were common due to polluted surroundings and poor-quality food.

‎Similarly, elderly men were found suffering mainly from weakness and poor eyesight. The Sindh Population Welfare Department, in collaboration with the Health Department and PPHI, organized this free medical camp focused on family planning and health in the coastal area of Chashma Goth, Ibrahim Hyderi.

‎More than two thousand men, women, and children from the local fishing community attended the camp, where doctors conducted specialized check ups in general medicine, dermatology, ophthalmology, pediatrics, and reproductive health, while free medicines were also provided to patients.

‎A large number of women attending the camp were suffering from fever, anemia, chest infections, itching, and skin diseases, while children commonly faced stomach pain and skin ailments, reportedly due to contaminated water and unhygienic living conditions. Elderly men were found with issues of weakness and vision impairment.

‎During the camp, awareness sessions were also organized on hygiene, maternal and child care, and family planning, which saw active participation from women and youth.

‎Provincial Minister for Women Development Shaheen Sher Ali and Member of the Provincial Assembly Mahmood Alam Jamot attended the event and appreciated the initiatives of the Sindh Population Welfare Department.

‎Secretary of the Sindh Population Welfare Department, Hafeezullah Abbasi, stated that the department is now setting up medical camps in islands and coastal areas where residents lack access to healthcare facilities.
