KARACHI: The Sindh Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (SICVD) has achieved yet another remarkable milestone in expanding free cardiac emergency services across Sindh with the inauguration of its 30th Chest Pain Unit, located near the District Health Office (D.H.O.) and Civil Hospital, Sanghar.

The inauguration ceremony was led by Prof. Jawaid Akbar Sial, Executive Director SICVD, accompanied by senior officials, medical staff, and members of the local community.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Jawaid Akbar Sial said it was a proud moment as SICVD continues to bring life-saving cardiac services closer to citizens across the province.

“The establishment of the 30th Chest Pain Unit in Sanghar reflects our unwavering commitment to provide free, 24/7 cardiac emergency treatment at the doorstep of every citizen,” he said. “Through these units, we are ensuring that no patient suffers or loses their life due to delay in accessing advanced cardiac care.”

He added that SICVD’s network of Chest Pain Units plays a vital role in saving thousands of lives annually by providing immediate diagnosis, stabilization, and referral for patients experiencing heart attacks. Each unit is staffed with trained doctors and nurses and equipped with ECG machines and essential life-saving medication to ensure rapid response and quality care.

The Sanghar Chest Pain Unit will operate round-the-clock, offering completely free emergency cardiac services, continuing SICVD’s mission to make advanced heart care accessible to all — regardless of income or background.

With this latest addition, SICVD further strengthens its position as the world’s largest public cardiac care network, serving millions of patients annually through its state-of-the-art hospitals and an extensive network of Che
st Pain Units across Sindh.
