Netflix Returns to Hollywood Arts High with a Second Victorious Spinoff

Fans of Victorious, it’s finally happening — Netflix is taking us back to the colorful chaos of Hollywood Arts High. The streaming giant has officially ordered a brand-new spinoff titled “Hollywood Arts”, and guess who’s leading the charge? Daniella Monet, reprising her fan-favorite role as Trina Vega.

A Familiar Face in a Brand-New Role

This time, the tables have turned. Trina Vega — once the fame-hungry older sister of Tori — is now stepping into a completely different spotlight. She’s back at her old school, not as a student, but as an accidentally hired substitute teacher.
According to Netflix’s Tudum blog, the show will explore Trina’s hilarious attempt to inspire a new generation of creative misfits while figuring out what the heck she’s doing in a classroom in the first place.

“She’s still the same Trina — dramatic, impulsive, and convinced she’s a star — but now she’s the one trying to guide others,” Daniella Monet teased in an early interview. “It’s surreal to be back in that world.”

Production and What We Know So Far

Filming is already underway in Vancouver, Canada, with Netflix confirming a 26-episode first season. The project is being co-produced by Nickelodeon Studios and Paramount, marking a rare cross-platform revival that bridges generations of viewers.

This will be the second official spinoff from Victorious — the first, Sam & Cat (starring Ariana Grande and Jennette McCurdy), aired in 2013. But this time, the focus is squarely on nostalgia blended with a new twist.

Will the Old Gang Return?

That’s the million-dollar question. While no major cameos have been confirmed yet, Victorious alum Liz Gillies (Jade West) recently told People she’d “absolutely come back if it’s funny and smart.”
Meanwhile, Victoria Justice, the show’s original lead, said she’s “rooting for Daniella” and hinted that she’s open to a cameo “if the timing’s right.”

Fans have already taken to social media, posting side-by-side comparisons of old Victorious moments with their hopes for Trina’s teacher era.

Why This Revival Makes Sense

Let’s be honest — nostalgia is big business right now. With Netflix reviving classic properties like That ‘90s Show and Avatar: The Last Airbender, revisiting Victorious’s quirky performing arts school fits right in.
But what makes Hollywood Arts different is its focus. It’s not just recycling old jokes or teen drama; it’s giving a once-overlooked character her time to shine.

If the writers manage to balance heart, humor, and a touch of musical flair, Hollywood Arts might just be the feel-good throwback fans didn’t know they needed.

No Release Date Yet — But Hype’s Already Building

Netflix hasn’t set an official premiere date, though reports suggest a 2026 release window. With behind-the-scenes photos already surfacing from the Vancouver set, fans can expect teasers soon.

Until then, one thing’s certain — Victorious isn’t just living in our memories anymore. It’s getting a second act, and this time, Trina Vega’s the star.
