The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued the third Tropical Cyclone Watch as the low-pressure system over the southeast Arabian Sea continues to persist and strengthen.
According to the PMD, the system has moved north-northeastward during the past 24 hours and is expected to shift further toward the east-central Arabian Sea. The department noted that the distance between the system and Karachi has begun to decrease gradually.
At present, the low-pressure area is located approximately 340 kilometers east of the Lakshadweep Islands, India, in the northwest direction. Meteorological officials are closely monitoring the development, warning that the system may intensify further in the coming days depending on sea surface temperatures and wind patterns.
