LAHORE – A disturbing case of domestic violence has been reported from the Mustafaabad area of Lahore, where a woman was allegedly subjected to severe torture by her in-laws. Police have arrested one of the suspects involved in the incident.

According to police sources, the victim, identified as Ruqayya Amjad, was assaulted by her in-laws — including Danish, Ameen, and Maham. Upon receiving the complaint, Mustafaabad Police swiftly reached the scene and initiated an investigation.

SP Cantt Captain (R) Qazi Ali Raza stated that a case has been registered under the victim’s complaint against all nominated suspects, and a special team has been formed to arrest the remaining accused. One suspect has already been taken into custody.

He further emphasized that the remaining culprits will soon be apprehended, warning that those taking the law into their own hands will face strict legal action. “No leniency will be shown to individuals involved in violence against women,” he added.
