In Karachi, with the changing weather, there has been a significant rise in cases of flu, cough, dengue, and malaria. The dust in the air and the poor condition of roads have made life difficult for the citizens.

‎Both government and private hospitals have reported a massive increase in cases of flu, cough, dengue, and malaria, prompting health experts to issue important advice.

‎According to the Health Department, daily reports of dengue cases are not being released. Reports on dengue and malaria are issued every 15 days or monthly, and the data released by the department does not include the names of hospitals.

‎The administration stated that more than 100 cases of flu and cough have been reported at Civil Hospital, while 10 to 12 dengue cases are being recorded daily.

‎Hospital sources revealed that Jinnah Hospital’s emergency and OPD report around 150 cases daily, with 15 to 20 dengue patients being registered each day.

‎Private hospitals are also reporting more than 200 cases of flu and cough. The Health Department has not released data on reported cases following the seasonal change.

‎Health experts have advised that people suffering from flu should avoid shaking hands and maintain distance from others. They also recommended wearing masks and boosting immunity through a healthy diet.
