RAWALPINDI: On World Dengue Day, the Rawalpindi Development Authority reaffirmed its commitment to keeping Rawalpindi dengue-free through continuous awareness campaigns, preventive measures, and strict enforcement of anti-dengue regulations. Officials emphasized that dengue prevention remains a top priority, especially during the monsoon season when mosquito breeding increases.
As part of the campaign, RDA staff carried out cleanliness drives, inspections, and anti-dengue awareness activities. Authorities urged residents to eliminate stagnant water, maintain hygiene in homes and workplaces, and cooperate with health officials to prevent the spread of dengue larvae.
RDA officials stressed that community participation is essential in the fight against dengue. They warned that strict action would continue against individuals and organizations violating dengue prevention SOPs, while awareness programs would be expanded across the city.
The authority called on citizens to remain vigilant and adopt preventive measures to help ensure a healthy and dengue-free Rawalpindi.
