The Pakistan Boxing Federation (PBF) and the Kazakhstan Boxing Federation (KBF) have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation to strengthen boxing development and performance in Pakistan.

Under this new agreement, Pakistani boxers will gain access to world-class training facilities in Kazakhstan, participate in high-performance programs, and benefit from regular top-level sparring and systematic preparation for major international tournaments.

The signing ceremony took place at the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) Headquarters in Lahore, attended by Muhammad Khalid Mahmood, Secretary General of POA, and Lt Col (R) Muhammad Nasir Ijaz Tung, TI(M), President of the Pakistan Boxing Federation.

Joining the event virtually were H.E. Yerzhan Kistafin, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan; Shakhmurat Mutalip, President of the Kazakhstan Boxing Federation; and Olza Ali Bove, representative of the Kazakhstan Embassy. The PBF Secretary, Major Irfan Younas, also participated online.

Through this collaboration, both federations will organize joint training camps and competitions, promote exchange programs for boxers and coaches, and provide Pakistani athletes with opportunities to train in Kazakhstan’s top sports centers.

The partnership also places a strong focus on women’s and youth boxing, aiming to build a structured development pathway for young and emerging talent while exposing them to international-level competition standards.

In an official statement, the Pakistan Boxing Federation expressed gratitude to the Kazakhstan Boxing Federation and the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Pakistan for their cooperation and support.

“This agreement turns our shared vision into action — opening the doors to elite training programs, stronger preparation cycles, and improved international results for Pakistani boxers,” the PBF statement said.
