KARACHI: Two suspected robbers were injured and arrested in separate alleged police encounters that took place in different areas of Karachi.
According to police officials, the encounters occurred in Steel Town and Quaidabad, where the suspects were apprehended after an exchange of fire.
In the first incident, Steel Town Police engaged armed suspects near the 100-bed hospital, during which one robber, identified as Waseem, sustained injuries. Rescue sources said he was shifted to Jinnah Hospital for medical treatment.
Police recovered a pistol, mobile phone, and cash from the suspect’s possession. The Malir Police spokesperson confirmed the recovery and said further investigation is underway.
In another incident in Quaidabad’s Faqeerabad Colony, police arrested an injured suspect identified as Saleem Khan following an armed encounter.
Rescue officials said the suspect was moved to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, while a pistol, mobile phone, and cash were also seized from him.
