Lahore Police Arrest Two Burqa-Clad Women for Snatching Earrings

Lahore police have arrested two burqa-clad women involved in snatching earrings from passengers, officials confirmed on Wednesday.

According to SHo Model Town Shafqat Sarwar, the suspects were apprehended near Ittefaq Metro Station after reportedly snatching earrings from a woman on a Metro bus and attempting to flee.

SP Model Town Shehrbano Naqvi said CCTV footage captured one suspect escaping, and both women were later identified and arrested based on the victim’s identification.

Authorities added that the suspects had been targeting women on Metro buses, stealing earrings, cash, and mobile phones. Recovered items have been confiscated, and a case has been registered against the women.

Shehrbano Naqvi noted that similar incidents had occurred recently, and controlling such crimes remains a top priority for Lahore police.
