Karachi: A police constable was injured after armed robbers opened fire near Golden Tea in Gharibabad. The injured officer was rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for immediate medical treatment.
According to the spokesperson for District Central Police, the incident occurred within the jurisdiction of Sharifabad Police Station. The patrolling officer had reportedly attempted to stop the suspects when they opened fire while fleeing. As a result, 38-year-old constable Shah Rukh sustained a gunshot wound to his leg.
Police officials said the suspects managed to escape from the scene, and a search operation is underway to trace and arrest them.
