Thomas Markle, father of Meghan Markle, has issued an emotional plea to his daughter, requesting “one more visit before I die” after losing his left leg in a life-saving surgery. The appeal comes as the Duchess of Sussex recently reached out to her estranged father following years of strained relations.
According to reports, Thomas, 80, is recovering in a Philippines hospital where doctors were forced to amputate his leg below the knee to save his life. While lying in his hospital bed, he urged Meghan to see him and also expressed a desire to meet Prince Harry and his grandchildren, Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 4, “before it’s too late.”
A spokesperson for Meghan confirmed that she “has reached out to her father” after learning about the emergency surgery. The contact reportedly took place on Friday evening, with sources suggesting she had tried to reconnect earlier as well.
The renewed hope for reconciliation also follows claims that Prince Harry has been encouraging Meghan to rebuild ties with her father after his alarming health decline. Thomas Markle’s heartfelt request marks another attempt to mend a broken relationship that has remained in the public eye for years.
