MELBOURNE: Excitement around the upcoming season of the Big Bash League (BBL) has surged, with Melbourne Renegades fans eagerly awaiting the on-field debut of Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan, according to the franchise’s General Manager James Rosengarten.
Speaking exclusively to ARY News via video link, Rosengarten said the presence of Pakistan’s top stars has significantly lifted the profile of this year’s tournament, creating unprecedented anticipation among fans.
“The Big Bash League is just days away, and the inclusion of Pakistan’s superstar players has truly taken the tournament to another level,” Rosengarten said, highlighting that this is the first time several of Pakistan’s biggest names will be spread across different franchises.
He noted that players such as Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf featuring for separate teams has added a fresh competitive edge and generated widespread excitement across Australia.
