Karachi: Law enforcement agencies carried out a major operation against criminal elements in the city by raiding Qadri House, resulting in the arrest of more than a dozen associates of notorious extortionist Samad Kathiawari.
According to police sources, a large cache of modern weapons was recovered during the raid, which has been officially confirmed. Authorities stated that the seized arms are being subjected to forensic and legal examination.
Meanwhile, representatives of Sunni Tehreek reported that more than 20 workers, including spokesperson Sarwat Ejaz, were taken into custody during the operation. Police officials said the scope of investigation has been expanded to determine possible links to extortion, illegal arms possession, and organized criminal activities.
Sources added that the area remained tense during the operation as police cordoned off Qadri House and conducted a phased search. Investigators believe the raid may lead to significant disclosures related to criminal networks operating in the city.
Senior police officials reiterated that indiscriminate action against individuals involved in disrupting law and order will continue, adding that no one will be allowed to operate above the law. Further details are expected after completion of the investigation.
