Islamabad: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration carried out a significant operation at Islamabad International Airport, offloading a passenger who attempted to travel to Europe using his brother’s passport.
According to an FIA spokesperson, the passenger was identified as Muhammad Arslan, who was attempting to travel to Italy on flight TK-751. During the immigration clearance process, officials found discrepancies in his travel documents and deemed the passenger suspicious.
Further inquiry revealed that the individual had presented his brother Muhammad Imran’s passport along with a resident card to facilitate his travel. Following the detection, the passenger was taken into custody and transferred to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle, Islamabad, for further investigation and identification of the agent involved.
The FIA has advised citizens to adopt legal channels for international travel and to avoid handing over personal documents, including passports, to unauthorized individuals. Authorities further emphasized that visa applications should only be processed through the concerned country’s embassy or officially designated visa application centers.
