Iraqi Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has announced the removal of visa restrictions imposed on Pakistani pilgrims traveling to Iraq due to overstaying issues.

The announcement came during his meeting in Baghdad with senior Iraqi official General Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, where matters related to pilgrims and bilateral cooperation were discussed.

Naqvi stated that the safety, dignity, and facilitation of Pakistani pilgrims remain a top priority, and necessary steps are being taken to ensure smooth travel.

Both sides also agreed to enhance coordination on security cooperation, counter-terrorism efforts, and measures to prevent human smuggling through a joint action plan.
