Sargodha : Police in Sargodha have arrested a domestic worker accused of stealing jewelry worth millions of rupees from a residence, officials said on Monday.
According to police, the suspect, a resident of Chak 132 South, was taken into custody following an investigation into the theft. During interrogation, the accused confessed to stealing jewelry valued at approximately Rs 9 million.
Police further stated that the stolen jewelry had been concealed in a pit, from where it was successfully recovered. A case has been registered against the suspect, and further legal proceedings are underway.
Authorities said the arrest and recovery were made as part of ongoing efforts to curb property-related crimes in the district.
