Cases of H3N2 influenza are increasing rapidly in Europe, the United Kingdom, the United States, and other countries, putting growing pressure on hospitals.

‎According to experts, this virus spreads quickly, therefore it is extremely important not to ignore the early symptoms.

‎Below are some early signs of this rapidly spreading viral infection.

‎Sudden fever and chills:

‎One of the prominent symptoms of H3N2 influenza is a sudden rise in body temperature. The affected person may experience moderate to high fever along with chills, excessive sweating, and severe weakness. In some patients, these symptoms persist for several days, making it essential to consult a doctor immediately.

‎Persistent cough and sore throat:

‎People infected with this virus may develop a dry cough that is mild at first but can become more severe over time. Severe throat pain can make speaking difficult. Experts are advising the public to wear masks and adopt precautionary measures to prevent further spread of the virus.

‎Runny or blocked nose:

‎Like other seasonal flu viruses, H3N2 affects the upper respiratory tract, resulting in common symptoms such as a runny nose, nasal congestion, and frequent sneezing.

‎Body aches and fatigue:

‎Muscle and joint pain, headache, and severe fatigue are also commonly experienced in this type of influenza, making it difficult to carry out daily activities.

‎Vomiting or diarrhea:

‎Although H3N2 is primarily a respiratory illness, in some cases, especially in children, it can also affect the digestive system. Continuous vomiting or diarrhea may lead to dehydration, weakness, and loss of appetite.

‎Health experts say that if any of these symptoms appear, people should avoid self medication, consult a medical professional immediately, and strictly follow preventive measures.
