The 18th Aalmi Urdu Conference (AUC) 2025 is underway at the Arts Council of Pakistan in Karachi, running from 25th to 28th December 2025. This esteemed literary event brings together poets, writers, scholars, and enthusiasts of Urdu language from across Pakistan and internationally. The opening ceremony was graced by dignitaries including Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori and celebrated poet Iftikhar Arif, underscoring the cultural importance of Urdu literature.
The conference features a rich schedule of events: mushairas (poetry recitals), literary panels, sessions on regional literature such as Sindhi Adab-o-Tanqeed, and creative writing discussions. Delegations from universities and cultural institutions have also actively participated, celebrating linguistic diversity and fostering dialogue among literary communities.
