Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced the preparation of a health profile for every household in the province, stating that complete data will be available within the next six months, which will help identify what diseases each individual is suffering from.
Maryam Nawaz said that the Punjab government is taking responsibility for every household like a mother and is visiting people at their doorsteps to inquire about their health. She added that officials knock on doors and ask citizens to inform them if they are facing any health issues.
According to the chief minister, free medicines worth Rs100 billion are being provided to the public across the province, while field hospitals and clinics on wheels have so far treated 20 million people.
Maryam Nawaz further said that Pakistan’s first medical district will be established in Lahore, while the Nawaz Sharif Cancer Hospital is in the final stages of completion.
