All polio environmental samples in Lahore have tested negative.
Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Imran Nazir congratulated the department on the negative results, stating that all six environmental polio samples collected from Lahore district being declared negative is a welcome development. He said that the negative results of the samples are an encouraging sign. This success is the result of the tireless efforts, coordinated strategy and continuous monitoring by frontline polio workers and partner organizations.
The health minister said that under the health vision of the Chief Minister of Punjab, this progress is a strong and decisive step toward the complete eradication of polio. He added that efforts will continue with full strength, determination and consistency until the last case of polio is eliminated.
