‎The deadly throat virus has yet to be brought under control in Mehar, an area of interior Sindh.

‎Twelve year old Asif Ali Jaskani, a resident of Mehar who was infected with the throat virus, has passed away. According to the deceased child’s father, his son contracted the throat virus a few days ago and was admitted to the DHQ Hospital Dadu for treatment.

‎The affected child remained under treatment for several days but his condition did not improve. He was later referred to Larkana, where he allegedly did not receive proper treatment and was then referred to Karachi. The child died on the way to Karachi.

‎It is worth noting that so far eight innocent children have lost their lives due to this virus in Mehar.
